Despite the blustery, showery conditions the DDWT family decided to take a trip to Pontardawe today and in particular the area around the recreation ground. Running alongside the recreation ground is the river Tawe (as well as National Cycle Route 43) and is a very popular destination for fishermen given it’s reputation of being the heart of sewin country. Here are a few snaps I took of the old iron bridge which spans the river Tawe and forms part of the cycle route.

I was cursing my luck this morning when upon parking the car up – to go for a haircut – I could hear a hissing noise coming from the front tyre. It turns out that there is a 2 inch screw embedded in the tread of the tyre! So I paid Kwikfit a visit in Swansea to get the problem sorted out pronto. An hour or so later I returned from Kwikfit with not only a repaired puncture, but 2 new tyres (and £93 quid less in my pocket)!! It transpired that the tyres were …. erm ….. balding to say the least. Ignorance is indeed bliss on occasion.
In terms of my exercise regime, it was the turn of the weights today to give my body the workout it needs! I wonder what the tale of the scales will be tomorrow morning?
