Tyre valve cap

Today’s mutterings are all about a magic tyre valve cap on my car – which bizarrely ends up on a different tyre each day! I’ll set the scene, about 7 days ago the front drivers side tyre valve cap went missing and was presumed stolen. I forgot to replace it and certainly wasn’t going to ‘lift’ one from someone elses car – although in a ‘what goes around comes around’ moment of thought I did consider taking this course of action. Anyway, upon returning to my car today I find that now the rear drivers side tyre valve cap is missing BUT the front one is now back. Now is that bizarre or what? The only explanation I can think of is that someone is playing a prank on me.

I spent this evening continuing with the garden overhaul project and I have to say that finally things seem to be taking shape – although there is still loads to do. When the job is finished it will mean that we would have effectively doubled the size of our garden and in particular lawn – so there’ll be plenty of room for DDWT Junior to run around to his hearts content. It’ll also mean we won’t have to keep telling him to keep away from the plants, shrubs, etc every 2 minutes!

Well my world cup sweepstake entry came to a cruel end tonight when Germany beat Argentina 4-2 on penalties. Although judging by the after match reaction, I think Argentina won the handbags at dawn contest *smile*

  1. Hi there,

Your situation is rather unusual – this is the first time I hear about someone ‘replacing’ the valve caps after stealing it.

Usually, once they are gone, they are gone for good.

On the whole, losing tyre valve caps is not at all uncommon, they do happen.
