I've had a skip-full

I took the day off work today as I’d hired a skip (from JLA Recycling) to remove all of the excess hardcore that was in our garden. When ordering the skip (midi size which equates to approx. 4 tonnes when full) little did I actually think I’d fill it.

But having been filling it from 9:30 this morning to 5pm tonight (foolishly without a wheelbarrow just my gloved hands and 3 buckets!) – it’s pretty much full and I’m absolutely knackered. I think my arms have grown about 2 inches since this morning – I really do feel like Stretch Armstrong!

I must have done enough weight training today to last me a month. Still it’s worth it as the garden is now almost ready to have the turf laid and the warm bath afterwards certainly helped sooth my robocop-esque bodily movements.

Am looking forward to a more relaxing day tomorrow and hopefully a first league win of the season for the Swans, who entertain the Rovers of Doncaster at the Liberty stadium. Talking of the Swans, there’s still no sign of my article appearing in the Western Mail grrrrr.
