Driven by goals

October 17, 2006

Lunchtime time today was spent running around the SA1 development in Swansea – for training purposes I hasten to add – for about 24 minutes in the driving wind and rain. Quite frankly I enjoyed every minute of it – as I always do when training in the rain. It’s cool and wet, which is great – as opposed to being hot and sweaty in the blazing sun, which I hate.

What drives me to do such things during a lunch hour? Well quite simply it’s the goals that I set myself every few months. With a 62 mile bike ride planned for December being the next goal on my agenda, the one after that is the Llanelli Duathlon in April 2007 – which has been enough to see me re-kindle my appetite for running the last couple of weeks.
