Back on the training trail today with a 23 minute 26 seconds run around SA1 in the driving wind and horizontal rain. I wasn’t focussed on the run at all as I was so much looking forward to the FA Cup draw at 13:30 and learning of the Swans fate.
Having showered and changed at breakneck speed I managed to get back to the office with 10 minutes to spare and immediately fired up Mozilla Firefox to watch the live draw (being streamed by the BBC thankfully). However, after the euphoria of Saturday, the lunchtime FA Cup draw today was a bit of a let down with the Swans being drawn away to either Chester or Ipswich Town in the 4th Round. It could have been worse, next out of the hat was Cardiff or Spurs away!
On paper the tractor boys (Ipswich) should beat Chester (now of Roberto Martinez fame), but we won’t know for sure until January 16th (the date of the replay). A quick look at the AA website revealed that Ipswich is actually an extra 50 miles further than Sheffield was though, so it looks like being another tiring day on January 27th 2007!
