Sun, sand and pebbles

With the weather being so great we decided to head off down to Swansea Bay today and make the most of the winter sunshine. DDWT Junior loves the beach and like most kids takes great pleasure in splashing in the flowing tide and chucking pebbles in the sea. It was a good job we’d taken some spare clothes along though – as per usual he got absolutely soaked!

I took this last picture for posterity, as it shows the high-rise cranes sandwiched between the Marriott hotel and some of the existing Swansea Marina properties. The cranes are situated on the Meridian Quay development – which will be Swansea’s highest residential building (and personally a bloody big eyesore due to it’s sheer height compared to other buildings in Swansea).

I’ll no doubt look back on this blog post in years to come – having taken a comparison picture with the development complete – and contemplate what else has changed in Swansea and life in general. Ahh, the beauty of blogging.

My regular Sunday weight watch stood at 16st 7lbs today – 3lbs up on last week, but I’d actually eaten the day before (pretty much unlike my day in Ipswich – where I guzzled more Magners than devoured food). I was joined on the scale (but obviously not at the same time) by DDWT Junior, whom now weighs in at 2st 10lbs.
