Snow at last

February 9, 2007

The snow finally arrived in the lower Swansea Valley today, but unfortunately it wasn’t even enough to have a snow ball fight. The rain that had preceded it (until about 09:30 am this morning) ensured that it was several hours later before we even had a covering.

The two pictures above of the mountain on the opposite side of the valley show the snow covering – but at lower levels it didn’t amount to much and by 2pm this afternoon the thaw had already set in. At least it means that the Swans game against the Latics of Oldham at the Liberty Stadium won’t be in doubt tomorrow now.

So despite being on leave again today – the third 4 day week I’ve had on the trot – it wasn’t going to be spent outside with DDWT Junior having some fun in the snow.
