Swans v O’s

This wasn’t really how the Roberto Martinez homecoming was meant to turn out, but then again I suppose it could have been a lot worse, we could have lost.

Despite the nil nil scoreline, the Swans created enough chances to be out of sight by half time – but sadly it was just going to be one of those days when we were destined not to score. A full match report can be read on the official Swans site.

At least the performance was an improvement on recent weeks and we resembled more of the Swansea I know and love (i.e. a true ball-on-the-floor footballing side). There was on ocassion a little bit too much hoof-ball, but you’d expect that – it’s going to take more than 7 days to change that around.

The list of culprits for missed opportunities in front of goal is almost endless but messrs Craney, Trundle, Iriekpen and O’Leary come in for a special mention! The last one redeeming himself however with a typically hustle and bustle midfield performance. In fact you can always really on O’Leary giving 110% for the jersey – the one and only true Jack in the team (to date).

Anyway, I’m hoping to pay a visit to Prenten Park next Saturday to watch the Swans take on the Rovers of Tranmere – in what is without a shadow of a doubt a make or break game in Swansea’s season. Martinez Barmy Army!

Talking of shadows, tonight saw a Lunar Eclipse – the first one in 3 years – and unfortunately the best picture I managed to take was below, which is more of the moon than anything as it had clouded over come eclipse time.

There’s some amazing pictures on the BBC site though, but being a cynic I wonder how many have been photoshop enhanced?
