I decided to give the running a bash today in the hope that the enforced rest had given my knee enough time to recover. How wrong I was.
With a couple of stops along the way I managed 28 minutes 23 seconds, but it was painfully obvious (quite literally) that the knee isn’t right. I tried running on the road and the beach, but neither helped and now it’s looking like a far longer rest period – from running at least – that I’d wanted.
It’s obviously an impact thing, as I didn’t get an adverse reaction when I went on the bike earlier in the week. So it’s going to be a case of being back in the saddle for a while me thinks.
