For the 3rd consecutive home game the Swans strolled to a comfortable victory and cemented their place at the top of league one with a 2 point and game in hand cushion over FEC Forest.
The Robins of Cheltenham can have little to complain about as they were simply outclassed for the entire 90 minutes and the 4-1 scoreline could (should?) have been more but for some slack finishing.
Watching the Swans is great at the moment, not only because they are winning but because of the stylish football they are playing and the number of goals they are scoring – it really is “just like watching Brazil” 😉
Everyone shone on the pitch today and despite the official MotM award going to 2 goal Andy Robinson, I think most people myself included felt that Darren Pratley should have got the award again. For my money, he’s playing his best football thus far in his Swans career and long may it continue.
Quite a few people have been discussing the reasons why the Swans have finally clicked over the last few weeks, well my personal opionion is that the midfield have finally started passing the ball whilst going forward – as opposed to the lateral direction they were taking during the early games in the season. The result of this of course is that teams are defending deeper against a 5 man midfield who are now assisting the solitary man up-front.
Next up is the once mighty Leeds United on Saturday and with a full house guaranteed at the Liberty stadium, it’s sure to be one hell of a showdown.
